Dr. Rita Bailey-Roland, CPA, CPC, founded ABS Retirement Solutions with the ultimate goal of helping her clients create financial strategies to reach their financial destination. Rita focuses on problem-solving surrounding retirement income strategies, insurance planning, budgeting, estate planning, and the emotional-financial connection. She advocates aligning your values and dreams with your actions.
For over 33 years, Rita has been helping government employees. She discovered a common thread. She realized that regardless of socioeconomic status, about 80% of employees did not understand their federal employee benefits. This revelation became the driving force for her to develop an easy-to-read tool to assist government employees in understanding their government benefits. In 2012, Rita’s book, “Understanding Your Federal Benefits: For the New Retirement Climate,” was released. It was updated in 2023.
Rita is also the co-host of the critically acclaimed webinar series Financial Fun Friday, which broadcasts on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month at 10 a.m. Eastern on Facebook Live. The broadcast is designed to pull back the curtains on the federal government benefits programs and overall financial knowledge. The team provides an understanding of your government benefits, financial literacy and retirement planning, as well as alternative retirement options and strategies.
A lifelong resident of the Washington, D.C. area, Rita is an active member of her church and the founder of a women’s group, “I Am My Sister’s Keeper,” designed to help women heal mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. She lives in Maryland with her husband, Bernard.
